Sports Venue Sports Venue Bar and Grill was incorporated in 2003 by Jim Viviano, Laurie Viviano and Adam Correll. Jim Viviano retired from Alladin Industries, as an MIS director in Nashville, Tennessee. Laurie Viviano taught middle school math and science in Detroit and Taylor Michigan. Adam Correll was a controller of a private produce company in Ann Arbor, Michigan. In 2003, they purchased a building in Garden City, Michigan with the hopes of creating a neighborhood sports bar for locals to enjoy. Though the building had previously been an Irish pub, many changes and improvements were needed. All three of them spent endless months tearing down walls, putting up dry wall, painting and installing equipment. Nine months later, their vision was created and the doors were opened on February 10, 2004. For the past nine years, Sports Venue has been a popular spot for sports enthusiasts and the surrounding community. Their success is due to great food, in a comfortable atmosphere with excellent customer service. Jim and Laurie Viviano are the current owners of Sports Venue. They both reside in Garden City and enjoy owning a business there. Sports Venue sponsors many fundraisers to help support the community that has their home town. On February 10, 2014, Sports Venue will celebrate its ten year anniversary of being Garden City’s favorite local “Cheers”.
